Having studied scriptwriting at Birkbeck University, I had my first short script Home For Lost Holidays produced in 2007. Directed by Anastasia Kirillova, this sweet drama won 2nd place in the 2007 jury round of the FILMAKA Contest, as voted by a panel of judges who included Werner Herzog, Deepak Nayar, Paul Schrader and Win Wenders.
I then went on to take 3rd place at the 2008 Screen Writers Festival Pitch in Time contest with my period feature; Little Wheel, based on the true story of the man who broke the bank at Monte Carlo.
That same year my feature script; Greener, a touching comedy about love, loss and rambling, was accepted for the UK Film Council’s First Feature Fund. One of the first writers to take part in the scheme, I worked with Bradley Quirk, Lizzie Francke and mentor Ayub Khan-Din to complete the scheme in 2008.
Having signed with Matthew Bates at Sayle Screen in 2009, my romantic comedy Inside Out was optioned by Focus Films and in 2013 I wrote and, for the first time, produced my short film On The Bridge. Directed by Sameer Patel and co-funded by Film London, On The Bridge has screened at the Palm Springs International Shorts Festival, San Diego Film Festival, Manhattan Shorts Festival, Naples International Film Festival, Asthetica Shorts Film Festival, London Short Film Festival and Underwire Film Festival where it was nominated for 'Best Writer'.
Looking to the future I continue to push my writing and develop a career as a producer.
